Genevieve Dormann was born in Paris. She is a journalist at the Figaro magazine, a biographer and a novelist. She wrote Le Bal du Dodo published by Editions Albin Michel in May 1989 for which she received the Grand Prix de l’Academie Francaise. She is vice consul of the kingdom of Patagonia at the Isle of Yeu. She likes rugby, the sea and above all Mauritius which she has visited many times.

Guido Alberto Rossi was born in Milan in 1949. He is the manager of the Image Bank photo agency in Milan. He is himself a talented photographer specializing in pictures taken from the air. His main hobby is flying. His pictures were published in Rome from the Air, Venice from the Air, Florence from the Air, Tuscany from the Air, published by Editions Gallimard.
